"Nothing to Hide" addresses the stigma of mental illnesses by dispelling harmful stereotypes and misconceptions about psychiatric disorders. According to the recently issued Mental Health Report of the U.S. Surgeon General, "Tragic and devestating mental disorders affect nearly one in five families in any year, yet continue too frequently to be spoken of in whispers and shame." This exhibit can increase the understanding of mental illness.
"Nothing to Hide" consists of twenty ready-to-hang museum-quality framed photographs which measure 16î x 20î and are accompanied by laminated text panels. Space requirements vary depending on the manner in which you hang the exhibit ñ on walls, from molding, on easels or on portable bulletin boards.
Interviewer/author Peggy Gillespie or photographer Gigi Kaeser are also available to speak in conjunction with the exhibit.
